Producer of fashionable prosthetic leg covers receives prestigious King’s Award for Innovation – AT In the present day

LIMB-art, a North Wales-based firm that designs and manufactures trendy and modern prosthetic leg covers, has been introduced with a coveted King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation.

The esteemed award, which recognises excellent improvements from UK enterprise, was introduced to LIMB-art on 4 December 2024 by the Lord Lieutenant for Clwyd, Mr. Henry George Fetherstonhaugh OBE DL, in a particular ceremony.

LIMB-art was created after the founder, Dr Mark Williams, himself an amputee, found many amputees felt their prosthetics didn’t characterize their persona and elegance, resulting in emotions of self-consciousness.

After making a canopy for his prosthetic to get a leg form below trousers, the founder personalised it to look “cool” by spraying it to match his automotive. Many amputees commented on his social media posts and requested to make them one. Realising there was a market, the corporate was based and now gives customised decorations.

LIMB-art gives 4 distinctive prosthetic leg covers: Core, Wave, Vent, and Ultralight. The entire covers may be customised in several colors and designs to satisfy the wearer’s desires, to allow them to have a design that displays their persona.

The King’s Award for Innovation recognises LIMB-art’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of design and know-how, enabling prosthetic customers to have a good time their individuality with confidence. This accolade is a testomony to the corporate’s mission of serving to folks ‘Stand Out and Stand Proud.’
