Role Overview
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will support service users with daily living tasks, enabling them to stay safe and comfortable in their own homes. You will provide both physical and emotional support, ensuring every client receives care that meets their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients with various needs, illnesses, and disabilities.
- Assist clients with toileting, continence management, and personal hygiene.
- Support clients in getting up in the morning and going to bed at night.
- Assist with administering or supervising medication according to care plans.
- Maintain accurate care and medication records in compliance with procedures.
- Prepare meals and drinks that suit clients’ dietary and cultural preferences.
- Perform light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and general tidying as required.
- Follow health and safety procedures and promptly report any concerns.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, care managers, and families to deliver the best care outcomes.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in domiciliary, residential, or healthcare settings preferred.
- Knowledge of safe manual handling and use of mobility aids (training available).
- Ability to deliver care with compassion and professionalism.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
