We are currently seeking caring and reliable Domiciliary Care Assistants in the East Midlands region. This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact in your community, helping people live comfortably and confidently at home.

Role Overview

The Domiciliary Care Assistant will be responsible for providing personal care, emotional support, and practical help to clients in their own homes. You will assist clients with everyday tasks while promoting independence and dignity at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personal care and support to clients with a range of health and social care needs.
  • Assist with toileting, bathing, dressing, and grooming while maintaining dignity and privacy.
  • Help clients with mobility, including safe use of hoists and moving equipment.
  • Support with meal preparation and hydration in line with dietary requirements.
  • Administer or assist with medication as detailed in the client’s care plan.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all care provided.
  • Undertake light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry as needed.
  • Observe health and safety practices, reporting any concerns immediately.
  • Work closely with supervisors and care teams to ensure consistency and quality of service.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in domiciliary or residential care (preferred but not essential).
  • Skilled in assisting with personal care while preserving dignity and privacy.
  • Knowledge of medication administration and safe handling procedures.
  • Empathetic, patient, and capable of forming trusting relationships with clients and families.
  • Excellent record-keeping and communication skills.
