We are now recruiting enthusiastic and caring Domiciliary Care Workers to join our dedicated team in Gateshead. Salary & Contract Details

• Full-Time Contract: 45 hours per week
• Part-Time Contract: 25 hours per week
• Hourly Pay: £12.75 – £13.30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients with a wide range of needs, illnesses, and disabilities.
• Assist clients with toileting, continence management, and personal hygiene while preserving dignity.
• Help clients get up in the morning and prepare for bed at night.
• Support clients with medication as outlined in their care plans.
• Maintain accurate records of all care and medication activities.
• Prepare food and drinks in accordance with clients’ preferences, nutritional needs, and cultural requirements.
• Undertake light household duties such as cleaning and laundry as needed.
• Comply with health and safety standards and promptly report any concerns to supervisors.
• Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Skills & Experience

• Experience providing personal care while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Competence in safe medication administration and monitoring health conditions.
• Training in using mobility aids, hoists, and safe transfer techniques.
• Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills with clients and their families.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.
• Accurate record-keeping and attention to detail using written or digital systems.
