We are now recruiting passionate and caring Domiciliary Care Workers to join our team in Guide Post, Northumberland. Salary & Contract Details

  • Full-Time Contract: 45 hours per week
  • Part-Time Contract: 25 hours per week
  • Hourly Pay: £12.75 – £13.30

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to clients with a range of needs, illnesses, and disabilities.
  • Assist clients with toileting, continence management, and personal hygiene tasks.
  • Support clients in getting up in the morning and preparing for bed at night.
  • Assist clients with medication as agreed and recorded in their care plans.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records of all care activities and medication support.
  • Prepare meals and drinks based on clients’ preferences, nutritional needs, and cultural requirements.
  • Undertake light household duties such as cleaning and laundry according to care plans.
  • Comply with health & safety regulations, reporting any issues to your supervisor.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by senior management.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene while maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Proficiency in safe medication administration and monitoring clients’ health conditions.
  • Training in the use of mobility aids, hoists, and safe transfer techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an empathetic approach.
  • Ability to document care accurately in written or digital formats.
  • Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and maintaining high standards of care.
