We are seeking passionate and caring Domiciliary Care Workers to join our team in Newcastle upon Tyne. Salary & Contract Details

  • Full-Time Contract: 45 hours per week
  • Part-Time Contract: 25 hours per week
  • Hourly Pay: £12.75 – £13.30

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to clients with a wide range of needs, illnesses, and disabilities.
  • Assist clients with toileting, continence management, and personal hygiene routines.
  • Help clients get up in the morning and go to bed at night safely and comfortably.
  • Assist clients with medication as outlined in their Medication Care Needs Assessment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of care, medication support, and activities undertaken.
  • Prepare food and drinks according to clients’ preferences, dietary needs, and cultural requirements.
  • Carry out light household duties such as cleaning and laundry in line with the care plan.
  • Comply with all health & safety rules, reporting any concerns to your supervisor promptly.
  • Undertake any additional reasonable duties as required by senior management.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming while preserving dignity and privacy.
  • Proficiency in administering medication safely and monitoring client wellbeing.
  • Knowledge of hoists, mobility aids, and safe transferring techniques.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and families through empathy and communication.
  • Attention to detail and reliability in maintaining care logs and digital systems.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical care standards.
