We are seeking passionate and caring healthcare assistants to join our enthusiastic team of domiciliary carers. You must be motivated to grow, learn, and continuously develop your skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients with varying needs, illnesses, and disabilities.
- Assist clients with toileting, continence management, and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Support clients with morning and bedtime routines.
- Assist with medication as outlined in the client’s care plan and Medication Care Needs Assessment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of care and medication provided.
- Prepare meals and drinks considering each client’s dietary and cultural preferences.
- Carry out light household duties such as laundry and cleaning as required.
- Observe and follow all health & safety procedures, promoting the wellbeing of clients and colleagues.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by management within the scope of the role.
Skills & Experience
- Experience assisting with personal care while maintaining client dignity and privacy.
- Confidence in administering medication and following detailed care plans.
- Training in safe use of hoists, mobility aids, and moving/handling techniques.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with clients and families.
- Professional approach with attention to detail, confidentiality, and compassion.
