The Care Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Care Manager to join our growing team in Derbyshire. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of care services, manage a skilled team of care staff, and ensure our clients receive the highest standard of person-centred care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care management, excellent leadership skills, and a genuine passion for helping others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of care services, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of care staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain individualised care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure care plans remain responsive to clients’ needs.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Handle client enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure efficiency across operations.
  • Maintain accurate records including care plans, staff schedules, and incident documentation.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, families, colleagues, and external partners.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Care Manager or in a similar leadership position within the healthcare or social care sector.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong understanding of care regulations, CQC standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, client-first approach.
  • Experience developing and implementing tailored care plans for individual clients.
  • Confidence in managing budgets, resources, and scheduling.
  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care, such as a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
  • Experience with CQC inspections and compliance procedures is highly desirable.
