The Care Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Care Manager to join our team in Norfolk. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of care services, managing a team of care staff, and ensuring the highest standards of service for our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of care regulations, and a deep commitment to excellence in care provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of care services to ensure clients receive exceptional person-centred care.
  • Manage, support, and mentor care staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure care plans remain relevant to clients’ evolving needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, standards, and CQC requirements.
  • Respond promptly to client enquiries, feedback, and complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Monitor and manage budgets and resources to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records, including care plans, staff schedules, and incident reports.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, staff, and external partners.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Care Manager or in a similar leadership role within the healthcare or social care sector.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of care regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, person-centred approach.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualised care plans.
  • Competent in managing budgets, resources, and staff scheduling.
  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care — ideally a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
  • Experience with CQC inspections and compliance processes is highly desirable.
