What makes a Verity Healthcare Care Workers special?
Skills matter. So do patience, respect and the ability to see the person beyond their care needs. Our approach brings these qualities together.
Kind and compassionate
We look for people who listen carefully, treat others with dignity and find joy in helping them live well.
Trained for their role
Carers complete induction and ongoing learning, with additional training and competency checks where an individual’s needs require them.
Carefully recruited
Our recruitment process includes suitability checks, references and appropriate DBS checks before carers provide support.
Supported by a team
Our coordinators, managers and clinical colleagues provide guidance, supervision and support as care needs change.
The difference the right care workers can make
Inviting someone into your home is a personal decision. You deserve a carer who respects how you live, understands what you enjoy and makes time to listen.
Our team takes the time to learn your preferences, communicate in a way that works for you and encourage you to do as much as you wish for yourself. We aim to match you with carers whose skills, experience and approach suit your needs.
Whether you need occasional visits, regular daily care or more involved support, we work with you to create a plan that fits your life.
How our Care Workers can help at home

✓ Supervision and refresher training
✓ Moving and handling, as required

Home care and residential care: understanding your options
Both can be appropriate choices. The right option depends on your support needs, preferences, housing and the care available.
| What matters | Home care with Verity Healthcare | Residential care |
|---|---|---|
| Where you live | Remain in your own home, subject to a safe and suitable care arrangement. | Move to a shared residential setting with on-site staff. |
| Daily routines | Care visits or live-in arrangements can be planned around your preferences and assessed needs. | Providers have their own routines, usually with scope for individual preferences. |
| Family and friends | Continue hosting and visiting loved ones within your existing home and community arrangements. | Visits and community activities are arranged in line with the home's policies and your needs. |
| Level of support | From scheduled visits to more intensive arrangements; continuous one-to-one cover is not automatic. | On-site staff support is available according to the home's staffing model and your care plan. |
An individual assessment can help determine whether needs can be met safely at home or whether another setting may be more suitable.
Choosing care is personal. Talk with our team about your needs, preferences and the support options available.
